What it is
Every IP address on the internet is allocated to an organisation — a hosting company, a cloud provider, an ISP. That ownership is recorded in public registries maintained by the regional internet authorities.
Pentrawl looks up your server's IP address in those registries via RDAP (the modern successor to WHOIS) to identify who hosts your site.
Why it matters
Knowing your hosting provider is useful context: it confirms where your site actually lives, helps you know who to contact about infrastructure, and can reveal if a domain is hosted somewhere unexpected. It's informational rather than a security control.
How Pentrawl checks it
Pentrawl takes the IP address from your A record and queries public RDAP registries to find the organisation that owns it. The lookup is best-effort — if a registry doesn't respond, the scan simply continues without it.
How to fix it
There is nothing to fix here — this check is purely informational. If the provider shown is unexpected, verify that your DNS points where you intend.
